Sounds like a full schedule. I'm sure you know most or all of this but if I could add my two cents...

In Barcelona you definetly need to make it inside and to the top of the Sagrada Familia, although there aren't any services there as it is still under construction. For that there are many cool churches around the city, I recommend the cathedral. And go to Parc Guell!

Madrid is a much newer city, and doesn't have lots of neat old churches like most of Europe. But there is a cathedral next to the palace. Depending on how long you stay, it's really easy to take a day trip out to Toledo to see their cathedral and mosque, or Segovia. Also try to check out the monestary at El Escorial (with Bascilica, library, tombs of Spanish Royalty, and paintings, etc), an hour train ride out of the city, and the Valley of the Fallen (El valle se los caidos), a short bus ride from the monestary, with a 300 foot cross and a giant underground bascilica (the worlds largest bascilica in fact?), built under the order of Franco.

If it's easier to stay in the north, well San Sebastian on a sunny day is one of my favorite places ever. Its in the Basque country, with a huge bay, surrounded by the ocean and mountains. It's gorgeous! There is a cathedral in the town and two hills that guard the edge of the bay, one with a a giant statue of Jesus on top and the other with an 1970s theme park.

In the south, Seville, Granada, and Cordoba, are all good stops. The south is very interesting because of all the muslim influence and converted mosques and cathedrals that were changing hands and religions throughout history.

OK well hopes this helps, or maybe you knew all that. Either way, Good Luck! I hope you make it to everywhere you want to visit.
